that's happened to me before. And, like, wit the smaller crabs, they never reach the bottom of the tank, so i can't see them.

i took the salt water pond out last night to replace the water and immediately lemi walked over and started digging in that corner, so i had to rearrange everything around him. spoiled brat. lol

I can get under mine and look and see like 7 of mine. He could sense the moister sand there probably.
