crab awake in the day

should i be worried about my crab be awake in the day because their nocturnal

Nope! Crabs aren't strictly nocturnal, and this varies both with species and with individual crabs. My PPs tend to be much more 'nocturnal' in that they don't move around during the day much, but they still will move around, feelers out, etc. My Es will come out and even eat in the daytime, climb all around, etc. Crabs aren't nocturnal as in they strictly only come out at night so much as they're nocturnal because it saves them from predators in the day (think: birds and such) and it's much cooler at night too. So maybe our crabs are out in the daytime because they realize that they're safe.

I've seen our hermies here out many times during the day. In the wild they are known to strut about during the day too most times during or after a rain but this is not the only time. But due to the heat and chance of dehydration as well as predictors as Emma mentioned it is not as often.

Let's just say that they have random sleeping patterns. Mine are out running around whenever they want to.

Two of mine are up all night and one of them is up during the day...makes me wonder if hes lonely, lol. Its perfectly normal

its perfectly normal. My hermies run around all the time in the day!

I see my E's out and about more during the day, while the PP's will be out occasionally during the day, they are definitely more active at night.
