Since you haven't had hermit crabs for long, I would advise that you don't get straws for the time being. They are a lot more difficult to take care of than other species.

I think it's best to refrain from merging topics started by different people. It makes things less confusing for everyone. Just reply to their thread with a link to a similar thread started earlier.

No problem if that is the way you'd like it. I noticed that when new topics are made that one is not alerted by e-mail as they are if they have already replied to a post. By being alerted by e-mail sometimes one may also go directly to the post to add more info...
