So I came home yesterday. My room was completely dark, I turned his light off because it was pretty hot that day. I walked in, and saw his shell propped up against the wall. I walked over to it, nothing in it. I have had several crabs die when changing shells before so immediately I flipped out.
I know he was forced into the shell I bought him in. If not the method some Pet Stores use to actually place the Hermit Crab in the shell, then it was the only shell he could get too because he grew to big. This shell was huge and uncomfortable on the poor little guy. It drug on the ground and he could barely move in it. He did not climb on any of his play toys, I don't think he could.
Back to the story and I looked up. He is sitting at the very top of the play toy he had and in a new un painted shell that fit him much better. I second I saw that he was healthy I threw his old shell away. It was painted with paint that was chipping and I saw threw the big crack in it, it was really pretty under the horrible paint they gave it. Anyway, I will try to get you guys pictures soon, my camera ran out of battery last night while taking pictures of my dog with her new haircut.
