Oceanic Powder for Water
I am wondering how to make 1 gallon of oceanic water. Does anyone have the exact amount to add to 1 gallon of water? The directions are for 5 gallons not 1 gallon. Please help!!!!

8 tablespoons will do a gallon.
Here's a little chart to go by:
1 1/2 tsp for 1 cup
1 tablespoon for 1 pint
2 tablespoons for 1 quart
4 tablespoons for 1/2 gallon
8 tablespoons for 1 gallon
That's what I always go by when I mix mine.

Re: Oceanic Powder for Water
I bought this yesterday at Petsmart. I have had my hermies a couple weeks and never seen them utilize their water dish. I decided to also use a saltwater dish and boy did I get a surprise. Half the saltwater container was empty this morning and all three crabs were seen bathing last night. The powder disolved instantly. I mixed a gallon of water.. Will it keep without going bad?

I use 10 Tablespoons per gallon. Maybe I should try 8 instead. My hermies never drink the salt water.
