what to feed if ive never seen him eating??

I got my crab gary five days ago, im getting him a freind tomarrow, but ive never seen him eating. After wat ive seen posted about commercial food on this website, i threw it out, ive now been feeding him applesauce and raisins but he wont eat tht wat do i do??

Mine love grapes. I am still trying to see what they eat and what they don't, just keep offering them a variety of different stuff. There is a list of safe foods on epicurean-hermit.com. Great website and tons of food ideas and meals you can make, some are out there but creative.

mine usually eat at night or in the middle of the day. and they eat honey off my fingers when i take them out of the tank.

ok, thanks. he had some of the raisins last night and i tried giving him honey this morning but it didnt work.......is there anything that they absolutley jump for right when you put it in the cage??

even tho my info says i have 2 hermit crabs now im getting the second one on tue. her name is gonna be patty!!

Mine love dried bananas and shrimp. Those are some things to try out.

now ive seen him eat because i was holding him and the raisin and he ate it right from me it was pretty cool!! i think ill try grapes, popcorn, and maybe even shrimp!! Im gonna try grapes today and ill let you guys/girls know how it goes!!!!
