I went to the petco closest to my house today and they didn't have the premade water. i had to settle for the zoo med stuff.

land hermit crabs need sea salt water because they have gills on thier abdomen. they keep small amounts of salt water in thier shells, usually called shell water, to help them breathe. Some species of land hermit crabs need it more than others but all hermit crabs need to have salt water made available to them.

I hate going into certain pet stores here.they really don't care for the animals the way they should. i've had to report several places because of the terrible conditions and dead animals. but places like petco are going to carry less animals to prevent all the unnecessary deaths.

Oh yeah. Pet's Unlimited isn't that bad. They don't have hardly any saltwater fish though. They have about 2 out of 50 tanks that are for saltwater fish. I want to get some!

We have a place here called pet shanty and they have one side of the store as fresh water fish and the other side is salt water. they have coral and all these little anemones and stuff. and theres a place called animals n things that has a whole room of fish and a baby fish tank with tiny little babies in it.

I sell aquarium salt in the store. It's enough to make a gallon. It's $1. I use it when I run out of the ocean water I have, and the crabs like it.
