Hard to get Cholla wood in Australia!

Post by Snippy »

Im having difficulty locating cholla wood in Australia and would love to get this for my crabs as it contains chitin and also looks cool. Are there any stockists in Australia? or can you order it from the US (Im not sure that wood would make it through customs)?
Thanks

There are people on ebay that sell it pretty cheap but it's up to the individual seller if they will ship internationally. Not all the sellers are in the U.S. so you might find someone in Australia selling it??

Wood from overseas will get confiscated. Gardenworld in VIC sells cholla wood. I bought mine from there.

Ah excellent Wai I love going there so will be a good excuse to go. Thanks. While I have your attention I had a question in the water section about brita filters.

Cool that is also good to know about the shells. Snappy one of the herms is fairly large and the shell he is in looks like it is too small cos he cant fully retreat into it. Ive offered another but he/she hasnt taken an interest as yet, maybe it is too small. Ive got some more on order from naut (ebay).

Does anyone know anywhere in NSW? I went to a local petbarn and saw an amazing cholla branch on display, but they said they don't sell them, and wouldn't sell me the display one... :( They gave me a name of the place where they get stuff, but it's wholesale only, and they no longer import cholla.... I've only seen parrot branches, but I'd like something longer... Thanks :)
