Reef Rock?

Post by blondy627 »

I noticed Petsmart now sells Reef Rock as a decoration for salt water aquariums. I was wondering if this is hermie safe. I'm assuming it is because it kind of looks like coral, but wanted to double check.

I tried to search it on the forums, but its very hard to do from my phone that I am currently using.

I personally don't know for sure, but it would depend on the composition of the rock too.

From the description at the link, it is apparently fossilized coral. Being that it's made by CaribSea, I may give it a try.

We have had these in our tanks for 12+ years. I would say go for it. Do not be surprised or concerned if the hermies munch on it, which chances are they will.
