Deeper although smaller than my current dishes. I'm considering using these instead of or in addition to but they have this strange bubbling. I'm concerned it might be a seal of some sort coming off. They are also still rather dirty, a few more hours soaking before they are even clean.

It could the the plastic, if you kept them over or near your heat source that could be bubbling/wrap-ing. Best bet is to toss them and get some new ones, who know what type(s) of chemicals could be leaking into their water dishes.

It actually happened while they were packed away for years, but yah I'm gonna delegate them to diorama making supplies.
