exo terra jungle vine, will it get eaten.

i have put some jungle vine in my tank, you may have seen this for sale in your local hobby shop. its exo terra jungle vine which is thin wire, covered with a rubber hose like material, which has loose rubber grit stuck to it. i removed the wire, because its metal. all im worried about is that if the hermies eat the rubber grit from the out side of the vine that is could kill them. or do hermies have the ability to let rubber pass through their system.

I don't know if the rubber is harmful, but I have seen hermit crabs nibble away chunks of it.

Not anymore, I took it out after the metal wire punctured the outside rubber layer and started rusting.

I have one in my tank, my hermies din't like it before, but ever since I broke it into little pieces - like foot long - they loved them! I really don't mind them picking away at it plus I not really worried about rust, I read before that rust has been proven safe nor unsafe for the crabbies, jut use it at your own risk....
