You'll either have to use aquarium sealant (silicone sealant) or prop it up/suspend it with something. For a while I had upper levels suspended from hemp tied through holes I cut in them, and now I have them glued (with the silicone) to PVC pipes that act as bases for them and hideys for the crabs. You could use even something like Legos if you have them - then it could double as a hidey too!

Little reminder that most silicones and glues do have an odor. So one would need to wait for the odor to dissipate before adding the items to the tank, or the hermies back to the tank which can take a few days sometimes if gluing or using silicone within the tank itself.

Re: How do i get a plexi-glass second level to stay?
It's actually hard plastic, and not very heavy. I have a plexiglass second level in my tank, and it is held up with locking suction cups. I snipped the hook ends off so they just have a part that sticks straight out, I place two on each side of the tank, and slide the plexiglass pieces in on top of the flat parts, if that makes sense.
