Re: Exercise ideas?
Hm I never knew hermit crabs needed exercise. Mine always walked around all the time so I didn't know there was a need for exercise. May I ask why they need exercise? It is for their health?

Re: Exercise ideas?
How many hermies do you have? (in your info under your user name it states 0-0-0?)
As with all creatures, hermies need exercise to maintain health too. In their natural home in the wild they are known to travel a mile or more during the night.

Re: Exercise ideas?
ya, I think it is nesseary too the lady with the 30 year old crabs (her name is carol isn't it?) lets them out for a LOOOOOOONNNNG time every day, and from their age I am guessing that the exercise if a huge contribution to their good health
I love my five hermies:
Bumper, the socialite leader
Sticky, The Devourer
Shy Guy, Name says all.
Rose, hyper, never sleeps
Sharky, micro version of ShyGuy

Not sure how the laundry baskets are in Aus., but ours are mainly plastic here in the U.S. May wanna put a weight on top of the basket so they can't scoot underneath it and escape.
