Take a look at this so-called care sheet. I find it to be very incorrect, don't you?

Hermit crabs aren't afraid of water unlike most mammals. Gravel is not a viable substrate on its own. The information does not mention moulting at all either, oh dear.

Seems this maybe a newer site? I wonder if it would help for members to send off friendly suggestive care e-mails with a link to the Crab care section.

If you are contacted privately (via pm or e-mail) and enticed to join another forum, please contact a Crab Crew member. This is an unethical practice.

You will notice if you scroll down that the information was last updated in 2002. I agree with Marie, it might be a good idea to send a friendly letter to them with some updated information, as well as to inform them that molting information is vital. So very many people are unaware of molting and throw away their newly molted crabs, thinking it's an empty shell, not to mention the number that are dug up and die from shock/stress.
If I had a longer lunch time I'd do it myself, I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow on my day off, I just bought a book of stamps, what better use for one of them? :)
