Thank-you Wai! To be honest, I don't have anything in particular to discuss in that topic at the moment... But I bet I soon will!

Re: Does your question fit in other forums?
I am a Kindergarten teacher that received a grant to get hermit crabs for my class room. I have a 10 gal tank at home and one in the classroom. I had selected 4 small hermit crabs (because I was told by the pet store that would be fine) so they would have others to socialize with. I have the temperature at a stable 75 degrees and the humidity is between 80and 85%.
One of the purple pinchers after a month of having them climbed out of it's shell and was a ghost white and my co-teacher thought it was dead and threw it away. I am not sure if it was molting or not. One of the others (does not have a purple pincher) has gone from a bright orange/pink to a pale yellow color. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?
My students are fascinated with them and were upset of the death of one. I really want to take good care of them.
Help!
