ok so i called the petco near me and they have strawberry hermit crabs!!!! but now i dont know which size i should get? im think small so they will be young? but i dont know you guys tell me lol

Go with the ones that are ACTIVE. Ya know, not hiding in there shell, antennas moving all over place...etc.

ok thanks that sounds good... now i just cant wait to get over there lol... the lady at the store said that they have all different sizes so it shouldnt be hard to find an active one... yay im so excited

If you have a small tank, (smaller than a 40B) then you should get the smallest you can find. But be sure they're healthy of cours!

cheyenne is right. i'm finding myself saying that often lol. anyway, when i pick out a hermie, i always look for the ones that are walking around, exploring, have bright eyes and colors.

I just found out the Petco near me has straws! I want one so bad! I know they're endangered but there is no way I could neglect them. I've read up on them for so long. All i need are the crabbies.

try to get to a petco. its the only place ive found. i read they can't take them out of australia but they take them from other countries where they have more straws.

Yeah, not sure if we're allowed to keep straws here in Aus. They have very strict laws regarding wildlife here, because of how unique it is and also sadly how much of it is endangered.
