Where is the Hermit Crabs Mouth?

Try hand-feeding the hermit crab.

Grab a toothpick, and dab it into a small amount of honey. Pick up a hermit crab that is out and running about (don't dig anyone up). Hold the hermit crab by their shell, leaning them slightly back and position the toothpick with the honey end just in front of their two mouthparts, between the claws and the antennae. The hermit crab should reach out for the honey with its two mouthparts. Now watch where its mouthparts go as the hermit crab eats the honey off its mouthparts.

hey Wai! it worked!! i used peanut butter instead of honey cuz i don't have honey atm. it was trying to escape from my hands and it was also eating it. it uses its big claw to get some peanut butter on its claw, then brings it too its too its mouth( its like 2 long things that stick out and grab the peanut butter) Thanks!
