White dots? If you have a strawberry hermit crab (C. perlatus), then it's supposed to have white spots. Also, urging people to reply isn't going to get you a faster response.

look and see if there are any "white dots" in your substrate or in the food and water dishes or on toys(like wood) these could be mites. If they are not every where then it probly is because your hermie is a strawberry hurmit crab. If you still think that there is something fishy then you can bathe your hermie in dechlioranated water. If you need any more help pm me!

My huge PP has white dots too, but they are not mites. I inspected him very closely and I don't see the dots moving. I also bathed him numerous times but the dots stayed on, I think some crabs other than strawberry's have white dots too...iunno
