seller to pet store said he likes to deal with calicos because they are more active. what species is a calico and how can i id "peaches" and "mossy"

Calicos are usually what people call a certain color of Ecuadorian crabs. They have a darker, mottled coloring than usually seen on Es. And this would explain the activity. Es are just about the most active species you can put in a tank. If you have these, be sure to have salt and fresh water available to them and humidity at least in the low-mid 80s and temps at a min of 75 in the winter. If you can get a picture up here, I can positively identify them.
