Need large shells

Post by arhoads »

I have done search after search and can't find any shells with 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 openings. Either the sites I've tried only have up to 2 inch openings or they don't list the opening sizes. I found one place called beautyshells.com that has one that would work but I can't figure out how to order from them. Can't seem to place items in my cart.

To click onto the large shell link:
http://www.beautyshells.com/index.php?m ... x&cPath=69

they all come up as:
Sorry, the product was not found.
Seems to click onto the X-large shells, they have 0 in stock?
http://www.beautyshells.com/index.php?m ... x&cPath=70

Have you tried any of these online stores?

Edited to add:
Shoot, seems one needs to be logged in to see the links. :(

when I go on beauty shells it shows 80 in stock for the rapalla shells which is the size I need but I see no way to put the product in my cart.

Thanks, I had tried all the ones listed on crabstreetjournal except petdiscounters. It looks like they have one or two that might work!

I went to the link to look at the rapalla shell. These shells don't appear to have much of a 'spiral' to them for the hermies abdomen. I would suggest to stick with the turbo style shells that do have more room in the 'spiral' end.

Just make sure they are hermie friendly. Those that are not sold specifically for hermies many times are rough on the inside, or have fine holes in them. In the web links on the link above, there is an ebay seller that sells specifically hermie friendly shells. I do not have time right now, but CrabbyJo has an ebay seller she likes, but I do not think they have the sized shells you are looking for.

I personally like to purchase my shells on Ebay from a user named Glassreign. She has a shop, and sells them in small lots of 3 or 4 usually. You can purchase several different lots (super cheap too, from about $2 to $6 or so) and she will combine on the shipping and cut you a deal. It's great!
Edited to add:
Just be careful where or who you order from. Not all are honest and will ship merchandise after taking ones money. If one uses PayPal, one has 30 days to get a refund for not receiving their merchandise.

Being a regular online shopper too, I also recommend using PayPal. If the seller tries anything dodgy with you, you can have a word with PayPal and they might be able to force the seller to pay you back.
