So, I was just wondering -- is it ok for hermies to have Vegemite?

All of those posts (bar the one I posted) have to do with vegemite for PEOPLE. :S Vegemite is a yeast extract spread that's high in B vitamins & other good stuff. It has a look & smell that is difficult to describe. LOL! made from brewer's yeast.

I was just wondering if any of our other Aussie crab parents have fed it to their babies. I was just thinking it might be a nice treat on a bit of rice cake for them. I can't see brewer's yeast on any of the food lists.

does it have lots of salt in it? then maybe not if it does but I dont know!

No-one in our household likes vegemite, so I haven't tried giving any to the crabbies. Can you get organic vegemite with no added salt?

I thought vegemite WAS organic! LOL! It's actually pretty low sodium. Turns out the salty flavour comes from potassium chloride.
