Ok.
First thing is first:
What's the size of your tank?
What substrate (thing at bottom of tank) do you have?
What is temperature/humtity?
What food do they have?

I hate to break it to you. But if you bought your crabs to play with and be active 24/7, you can either give them back to the store or be patient. Hermit crabs will not always be out of their shell. Don't play w/ them for a couple of weeks and let them distress. Do not dig them up if underground.

My tank is about 7 gallons they have sand And A cocnut bed the temperature is just room tempurature. And We just got them new food because they weren't eating the other kind.

I didn't buy them just to be active al the time and he or she isn't buried. I have another hermit crab and he or she crawls around all the time he or she is a active.

Ok.
A Humidity Gauge is a tool used to measure the humidity of the 'crabitat'. You can get one at your local pet shop under the reptile section. You need them because :
There is moisture in our air. normal air is about 40% in the Humidity gauge. Hermit Crabs need at least 70% humidity or they will suffocate. Your crab is probably just distressing. In a few days, he should be better ;)

Is your 7 gallon tank glass? Is it a Kritter Keeper? What is it? What type of lid are you using? You need a humidity/temp gauge, you need to get one right away.
You are wasting money on hermit crab food from the store, they have harmful chemicals in them. Feed grapes, meats with no seasonings and uncooked, cooked unseasoned chicken (this is the only meat you have to cook), carrots, celery, apple, applesauce with no added sugar (organic is best), organic baby foods (the fruits and veggies ones even the ones with meats in them), banana, pumpkin (not canned), squash, lettuce (from the head not in a bag), organic honey, go do the store and get a fresh rose or carnation. They must have meats, veggies and fruits in their diets. I also use dried fruits and veggies. I buy stuff in the bird section that is dried apples, coconut, carrots, just make sure they are only the fruits and no preservitives.

Due to family issues my crabs have been adopted out to wizkidsmom (Cheryl), I know she will care for them like I did. Thanks Cheryl
