Yes, a magnet does stick to the can. Is this bad :S

I would think so. Can I pull earthworms out of my garden and feed them to the hermies? I don't use pesticides.

I think that would be fine. Maybe frying them a little and dressing them with a bit of olive oil or melted low fat butter might be nice. Frying them would kill most bacteria anyways. I think you could try that, just don't do it to often. But they love any animal that was once alive. I've done dead mealworms, shrimps, grass hoppers and flowers. They love all of it. One day I will buy a 12 cent goldfish from walmart and use it as a feeder fish for the hermies.

To date still no word on Feeder_Fish IMO, WalMart would not be the place to attempt this either...
HermiesRule, a couple crabbers have tried earthworms. (make sure you use no types of yard treatments as well as your neighbors who may treat their lawns and the wind may of carried some over to your yard, or even the chance of run off when it rains) But as long as the worms are alive the hermies normally will not kill them to eat due to being scavengers. I haven't heard whether the worms died if the hermies ate them or not. Would be interesting to find out...
