Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. But I'm sure other dry foods like oats, or the previously mentioned dehydrated stuff, would be a safer bet. Sorry if it sounds like I'm flaming you or anything, I'm not trying to.
Also, I heard a story a while ago of someone using the vacation food and when they came back it had completely molded over.

A Gerbil Constant Waterer would not be beneficial to a hermie. Unlike a gerbil or rabbit they will not go up to the 'spout' to get the water they need. (or are they able to)
If one needs to, a reptile water reservoir is a lot more beneficial to hermies. They can drink from them as well as put the water in their shells they need.

Oh, that's what I thought the poster meant! Of course they wouldn't be able to drink from a water bottle, they have no tongues. I assumed she/he was talking about a reservoir type thing.

i was thinking on getting two new hermies, i want to name one spanky, and i want to name the other one something that goes with it, and i was thinking pookie, but i dont wanna bite off of you,and i need to wait and see there personality's.

pookie was a PP and she was like... i dont know but she was pretty big or medium size(i dont know how you size them)
