Due to the lack of knowledge of what the humidity level is, is a very high chance as to why you are seeing your hermies act the way they are acting. Through this thread there were a couple suggestions made as to which types of humidity gauges others use. When selecting a gauge, make sure it reads the same as the others on the shelf, not one that is way off. Digital or dial? Either or still needs to be calibrated/tested to see how accurately it is reading.

Did you buy a bigger tank and all the stuff to heat it properly? Do you have a humidity gauge now? You have to remember what was heating your smaller tank won't do on your bigger tank. You need the temp/humidity gauges if you don't have it yet because it could be too cold and not humid enough if you don't.

Due to family issues my crabs have been adopted out to wizkidsmom (Cheryl), I know she will care for them like I did. Thanks Cheryl
