Say NO to Crabinacup sold at Walmart! Such humiliation and animal cruelty against hermit crabs must not be tolerated.
Say NO to the painted shells sold in many pet stores! Hermit crabs are not toys, nor are their shells.

Hermit Crab Paradise commenced on Sunday 18 April 2004. Originally, it was only a small site used to keep records of what I had learnt about hermit crab care from reading about other larger hermit crab sites. On Monday 1 November 2004, I added our Forums. Our Gallery opened soon after.
Over time, the care information on Hermit Crab Paradise evolved until it was no longer merely paraphrasing the work of others. Eventually, Hermit Crab Paradise had an identity of its own. Although Hermit Crab Paradise runs independently of other hermit crab sites, it has continued to work along with other sites for the wellbeing of all land hermit crabs in captivity. The layout and appearance of Hermit Crab Paradise has also changed completely since 2004.

Due to spam bot abuse, the contact form that we used to have has been removed. If you have any hermit crab care questions, please use the Search function on our Forums. Our staff rarely run into questions that have not been answered in detail before. By searching, not only does it save our staff time having to type out detailed answers to the same questions repetively, but it also saves you time waiting for a reply. If Google is your friend, then our Search function will be your friend too. If you cannot find an answer to your question, then please register as a member to post.
